Thursday - November 17th

Today started off lazily. being an unstructured day, a few of the Consultants had a bit of free time and were shown around Chennai by one of the local Alumni, Ebenezer.
Alex and Cindy diligently worked with their client through the day, building on their scorecard and occasionally assisting him with his Final day presentation. Hard to believe we’re almost at the end of the Venture.
The intercessor teams went out to pray with past Alumni, and because of the late scheduling ended up having dinner outside the hotel, which I suspect they think was a blessing in disguise. After almost 2 weeks in the hotel, as good as the food is, variety starts to sound like a good thing. :)
Another past Alumni, Ashwanthi, dropped by to say hello, having just got off the plane from Dubai. Was wonderful catching up with her and hearing of how God has been using her in Dubai of all places. :)

Wednesday - November 16th

Wednesday was our final structured day with our single client. Planning and Process where the Ps of focus with some discussion on hospitality. Our client looked sufficiently overwhelmed by the end of the day – a job well done as that’s what a client should look like by then as there is much the Lord does during this process. The intercession team met for a good chunk of the day and allowed the Lord to lead in answering quite a few questions around the way forward and what happens post-Venture. We prayed more into some of the alumni visits we’ve made over the past week and half and prepped for the remaining ones for Thursday. The day was capped off by dinner at Thomas and Suneeta’s (local lead couple) and much rough housing with David whose a tough cookie at only 9 years old. There was some Uno playing and puzzle assembly before the traveling team finally conceded defeat to sleep. I heard that one car on the way home had a lovely detour by our dear alum, Ebbie. A late night drive through all the sights of Chennai!

Tuesday - November 15th

We had a breakthrough session with our client today where he and his wife were able to pray together and reach a consensus about certain issues. It was very encouraging, especially given that they were not on the same page before — we believe that obstacles to moving forward were removed. The consultants and intercessors were able to pray over them and speak life, edification and encouragement to them. Both responded well to words given in love. An emotional day for many.
The rest of the team were able to spend some time with the local consultants and complete some of their shopping for friends back home. We were thankful for a day to relax and rest.

Monday - November 14th

We were happy that our client’s wife was able to show up to hear the section about kingdom partnerships. That was really nice to see that she was able to take part in what was her husband’s learning experience. We are hoping that this will create more unity between their relationship and ultimately be alignment with each other and God’s plan for their company.

Albert, our local Indian rep alumni, had graciously invited us over for dinner at his house.  Traffic was HORRIFIC (all the time) and we got into a little fender bender…a bus scaped our taxi and then the driver told us to catch another taxi in middle of traffic (basically, get out and find another ride)! Scary, but our group managed to cross the street (with what seems like a billion cars coming at us) in one piece.  We flagged down 3 autos, another form us transportation here, like a tuktuk (for those who’s visited Thailand and road in one before).  Finally, after 2 hrs adventure (12mis from our hotel) we arrived at Albert’s house. We had pizza’s and traditional Indian food. Thank you Jesus for watching over us.

Sunday - November 13th

Sunday was a somewhat relaxing day. With a few team members under the weather, we thought it best to take it easy. Church was great – the message concerned the 7 steps to total rebellion (e.g. disloyality). It was a gentle reminder of the importance and value of unity. We lunched at a Kerala restaurant – sad that all of the best dishes were only sold at night L… The consultants for our one client did meet with him and his wife yesterday and there was a time of intercession over his entire household. The remainder of the team split off with some resting back at the other hotel while others did some gift and saree shopping and enjoyed some of the local fare. Custard apple milkshake – ummmmmm!
